Church Choir

“Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods.” (Psalms 95: 1-3)

Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul. Started in 1975 as an all-male choir and with Mr. J.E. Mathew (Cuckoo) as Choirmaster, the choir has blossomed over the years. Indeed, the C.S.I. Parish Dubai is blessed with a talented choir led by Choirmaster Mr Juby Abraham and Choir Leader Mr I. Punnose. Among the various activities of the choir, the Annual Choir Festival, conducted in co-ordination with the Abu Dhabi and Sharjah C.S.I. Parishes is a glorious evening of singing.

No C.S.I. Parish calendar is complete without the Annual Carol Service. Indeed, the season of celebration of Christmas is marked with the Annual Carol Service, just before Christmas. A tradition since 1975, the Carol Service rings in the first bells of Christmas at the C.S.I. Parish, Dubai.

The Choir meets for practices on Thursdays at 7.30 p.m. at the Holy Trinity campus.

Junior Choir

The C.S.I. Parish also tunes the talents of the children with the Junior Choir. Led by Choirmaster Mr. George K. George, the Junior Choir consists of budding choristers, right from the little ones, to the big ones, and is definitely a pleasure to watch and listen to.

The Junior Choir meets for practices every 2nd Saturday at 7.30 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Campus.
