By the grace of God alone, today, we the CSI Parish (Malayalam) Dubai are celebrating 48 glorious years in the UAE. Each Parish day is an opportunity to celebrate all we have achieved and reflect on where we are now, while looking forward to the future trusting in God.
It all dates back to the 13th of April 1975, when the then vicar of the CSI Parish Kuwait, late Rev. V. E. Mathai, formally inaugurated the CSI Parish Dubai, under the leadership and direction of the late Rt. Rev. T. S. Joseph, Bishop of the CSI Madhya Kerala Diocese.
Being a blessed community, strong in our fellowship, we want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has walked this journey with us and helped mould this parish. Our vicars, starting with the late Rev. M. T. Tharian (1978) till our present and 15th vicar, Rev. Shaji Jacob Thomas have been our guiding force, all these years.
We are forever indebted to the rulers of the United Arab Emirates for their magnanimity in helping us work and worship in this land.
"With a grateful heart" (Psalm 9:1), on this day, let us proclaim the wonderful deeds of our Lord, which we have witnessed in the last 48 years as the "CSI Parish (Malayalam) Dubai" family.
