- Sunday, 6th August, was observed as Laity Sunday, with members of the Laity Fellowship leading various parts of the Worship Service.
The sermon was delivered by Mr. Solomon Philip David (Secretary, Laity Fellowship), reflecting on the theme "Laity - Called to Proclaim the Gospel". In his message, he reminded the congregation that, "Being chosen and anointed by God (1 Peter 2:1-10, Isaiah 61:1-2), the ministry of the laity is to represent Christ and his Church; to bear witness to Him wherever they may be; and, according to the gifts given to them, to carry on Christ's work of reconciliation in the world; and to take their place in the life, worship, and governance of the Church".
