Sunday, 24th September, was observed as Senior Citizens Sunday, with senior members leading various parts of the Worship Service.
Rev. Raju Jacob, our Vicar, delivered the sermon and led the Holy Communion Service. In his sermon, he reflected on the God of the Everlasting Covenant. Through interactions in Abram's life (Genesis 17:1-8) God reveals His person (v 1), His promise (v 2-4) and His plan (v 5-8). Our God is a God of new beginnings. He sees our present as well as the future that He has already accomplished. He is a God Who keeps His Word and works out His will (Eph. 1:11). The essence of faith is merely walking in the present, holding in your hands the things God has placed in the future. Whatever you may be facing at this moment, God has already taken care of it for you. You merely must be patient until you arrive at that time where His provision is manifested.(Heb. 11:1)
All the attendees above sixty years of age were honoured by gifting them with a memento. Also, our kids presented Rose flowers to the Senior members, as a mark of respect and affection of the younger generation.
