The 2023 Annual Church Picnic was held at Musandam, Oman.
Four buses with 200 participants left from the Holy Trinity Church Dubai compound at 6.45 am, with prayer by our Vicar Rev. Raju Jacob, and after completing verification of travel documents. There was a halt at Ajman for breakfast, enroute to Musandam for a day filled with fun and fellowship. The full Day Dhow Cruise gave the participants an opportunity to enjoy beautiful sights of the sea and caves which was a novel experience for most of them. Swimming, Snorkeling, Speed boat and banana boat rides added to the adrenaline rush of the participants. Both kids and elders enjoyed the whole day on the water, participating in games and enjoying the refreshments served on board. Onboard activities included Human Knot Challenge, Catch the Towel, Bible Quiz, Couple game, Bingo, Singing and dance.
The special 'Vanchi pattu' song penned by Mr. Mathew Varghese (Maamalakalkappurathu marathakapattuduthu) for the picnic, was apt for the occasion reminding the water theme of the picnic, and at the same time creating nostalgic memories.
The event was a blessed experience for everyone. The exemplary efforts and coordination by the convenors Mr. Jino Mathew Joy and Mr. Aji M. Kuruvilla supported by various organisations and volunteers from the Parish, ensured that each stage of the picnic was well executed. Thanking God for his protection and guidance for a safe trip.
