The Harvest Festival and Family Thanksgiving for the year 2022 was conducted at our Church in Fujairah on Sunday, 13th November.
The Harvest Festival is a day to honour the Lord with "the firstfruits of our crop" as mentioned in Proverbs 3:9-10. It is a promise of God to bless His children who honour Him with their wealth. This year too, we started the day with the Thanksgiving Service where the officebearers took the Fruit Basket in procession as a symbol of offering to God.
After the Worship service, the congregation had a time of fellowship, while enjoying different delicacies served in the food stalls coordinated by the Womens Fellowship and the Youth movement. There were also stalls of the Church Choir and Sunday School with various activities.
The Harvest Festival was conducted at the special tent in the Church compound and was a memorable day for all those who gathered. Members of neighbouring parishes also visited and participated in the activities.
Let us thank God who enabled us to conduct a safe and blessed Harvest Festival physically after a gap of 2 years post-pandemic. It was a great team effort from all organisations of the parish, led by Thomas Cherian and Saji K. George (Church Wardens) as the Harvest festival Convenors.
