Sunday, 2nd October, was observed as Senior Citizens Sunday, with senior members leading various parts of the Worship Service.
Rev. Shaji Jacob Thomas, our Vicar, delivered the sermon* and led the Holy Communion Service. In his sermon, he reflected on the life of hope led by Hannah, Simeon and Jacob, when they were old, with reference to Luke 2:36-37, 1 Timothy 5:1-10 and Genesis 47. He also talked about how the younger generation should learn from the wisdom of elders, treat them with respect and care for their needs.
All the attendees above sixty years of age were honoured by gifting them a potted Peace Lily plant.
